Easter Weekend...

Easter is one of my Favorite Holidays. I love it because the weather is nice, the kids get excited about little gifts (not stressful on my pocket), and most of all it's so Spiritual. I also really enjoy the family time with no pressure. We eat and play or nap and just hang. This year my family had a cornhole tournament. I'm hoping this will become a family tradition. Red neck but FUN!!!

My family dyed eggs this year for the first time. We had spent the day at Charlie Daniels Park for Easter in the Park and last minute Tiff asked if we were going to dye eggs. Well with some baking goods and some apple cidar vinegar I pulled it off. We had dye to dye eggs. We had a ton of fun and they didn't even make that bad of a mess.

And with left over eggs Mike had some rainbow colored egg salad for lunch. I had never fixed this before so I searched for a recipe. It is very simple. I had 6 large eggs and mixed it with 3-4 tbsp of light mayo. I added just a splash of pickle juice and about 4-5 chopped pickles, then some salt and pepper to taste. It turned out great!! Very easy and very cheap. I think it will be an easy lunch for Isaac and I during the week.

 

Big Bed Success...

Isaac slept in his big bed for the first time on Friday April 22. He was so excited h didn't fuss when told it was night night time. Nor did he fuss when we said it was nap time on Saturday :)) I think he felt like some big stuff!!! Well Saturday night I was putting him to bed and he asked "Mom do men sleep with there shirts off?" I said "yes Isaac some men do" then he replied with "well then I need to sleep with my shirt off" I laughed so hard I thought I would pee in my pants. Needless to say It was a big bed success. 

Mexican Flare...

I am a SUPER DUPER Mexican Food LOVER!!! So when I booked my cruise to Mexico you know what I was Greatly EXCITED for... Guacamole and salsa!!! I knew I wanted to see the colorful buildings and shops too :)) I love the way they mix all colors together in their decor. I just love the Spanish Culture (minus the religion part) So I knew I wanted to bring back dishes with me to have the Spanish feel in my kitchen. Here are my goods I brought back home :))

My FAVE!!! Isn't she a BEAUTY... I know for sure I will be having a Fiesta to show off my new dish LOL!!!

Then this guy... My hubby is a huge history buff, so since we saw the ruins, he thought we needed a Mayan Mask with a Mayan calendar. Looks nice hanging I must say...

I can't wait to go back but to a different part. Next time will be an all inclusive so we can spend more time their!!

Moving on!

Well it's time to move on. Move on to a BIG boy bed. Our Sweet baby boy is no longer a baby/toddler. He has officially grown out of his bed. For the past four nights he has fallen out cause he's so BIG. We decided since we are going to a big boy bed we might as well go to a big boy room!! This is a few pics of his nursery (before)

Latest Etsy buy...

I have seen several of these out and about but didn't know of anyone who sewed or made camera strap covers. Well leave it to Etsy.com to have them. This lady had several different prints to chose from and they are very well made. Prettylittlecovers is her store name...
