Cruise was AMAZING!!

Well I am home from my cruise trying to get back on schedule. I had an AMAZING time!! We Cruised on the Carnival Ship named Elation.

Our ports were Cozumel and Calica (aka: Cancun) Mexico. We first ported in Calica, Mexico. There we went to an Eco-themed Park called XCaret. It was wonderful!!! This pic below is a picture we took while doing the Under Ground River. It took us 2 hours to finish the entire river. It was in a cave with real live bats EEEEEEEkk!!

There was so much to do at this park. Snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, huge sea turtles, Mayan Ruins, restaurants, a Mexican Cemetery, and of course the Beautiful scenery.

The next port was Cozumel. We did some shopping then spent the rest of the day lounging on the beach. I just LOVED all the colorful buildings and shops.

The boat was a little rocky at times but overall was a ton of fun. Loved most of all spending time with my hubby!!

Persistence Pays Off!!!!

Persistence does pay off.... 6 weeks ago I started on a weight loss journey. I am happy to announce that I have lost 17 lbs!!! That is an average of almost 3lbs per week. I was hoping for 20 but will take 17 for now. I have been training for another half marathon in the midst of all the weight loss but not as consistent as I should so now I will be training for it on my cruise next week :)) I am hoping by my half Marathon I will have lost 25lbs total!! Then by my Florida trip (in July) I would have lost 45lbs total.

Happy Spring and Summer to Everyone. I am so ready for warmer weather.

So I started this little project last week... I had this great Idea to re-do Isaac's room into a big boy room. We decided to do rustic cowboy theme. I thought it would be a Great idea to refinish a cast iron bed that was passed down to me from my Great Grandmother.
Here are a few before pics...
It was rusty and ugly.
So I sanded and sanded with some help from Isaac...
We got it down to the original metal... Now it was time to paint...
After seven cans of spray paint I had it looking totally new :))

I was so proud of the bed I couldn't wait to show it off. Well my friend came over and she mentioned to me it was a full size bed. I thought no I surely thought it was twin. HAHAHA nope I spent three whole days working on this bed to find out it was a full bed, not the size I needed. So now I'm back to square one. Mike put the finished bed back in the storage and we are saving it for the day Isaac is ready for a bugger bed.
